Why is a Sitevert website different?

Our standard hosting is just £79 per-year. This is in addition to the £199 site setup fee. Sitevert sites depend on our hosting, and therefore it's a requirement.

What information do you need to design my Sitevert site?

Simply, all we need as a basic start point is an initial meeting or phone call to help us understand what you do, who you are target audience, and your contact details. We've built web sites in the past from nothing more than a letterhead and a chat.

How long does it take to get my Sitevert website live?

Usually a couple of weeks, but it can take up to a month:

Within 7 days after meeting

From our initial meeting or conversation, we'll respond with an outline proposal within 7 days. At this stage, no design has taken place... we are just getting under the skin of what you do.

Within 14 days after meeting

From there, we'll agree the design, layouts and information and as soon as payment is received, we'll register your domain name and start to flesh out your web site.

After 14 days or so, you'll be able to see your site 'live' in your domain space for proof checking. Once everything looks alright and you're happy, we start the promotional process.

Within 20 days after meeting

After around 20 days, your site is fully functioning and live, and you can start using your new domain name to guide visitors to your site, and use your new domain email.

The above timescales are approximate. We have to stress that due to the nature of the Sitevert system, we won't commence any 'live' work until your Sitevert package and first years' hosting are paid in full.

From then on, the process of propagating your site around the search engine begins, and before too long you'll be receiving visitors via search engines.

Free search engine optimisation? Really?

Yes. As soon as your site is approved we will start to 'splash your name about' a bit, and aim to get your site recognised by the search engines. This isn't a fast process, and can take months before it shows any result. But usually we get your site indexed within a few weeks.

But because we've been at the 'heart' of internet design since the early years of the web, we know how to get your site seen and keep it seen. Most other search engine optimisers can get sites indexed rapidly, but due to their 'backdoor' methods the sites can loose their placing quickly—or at worst—they can be blacklisted by the search engines. Our sites have never suffered from this, as we use only natural and legitimate means of promoting your domain.

If after your first year you find that your internet enquiries are good business, we recommend you move to our monthly search engine optimisation plan.

We even give you a periodic report of how your site is performing.

When and what do I pay?

The basic Sitevert site costs £199 plus £79 for your first year's hosting (total £278), and is payable upon your acceptance of our proposal. That fee covers you for your design, implementation and first year's hosting, plus your spam filtered email and search engine 'push'.

In the second year, should you wish to terminate your Sitevert site, we will remove it from the internet and reclaim the domain name. You may alternatively purchase the domain name from us at a nominal fee of £50 at the end of this period (for .co.uk names)

Should you wish to continue using the Sitevert site, our standard hosting fee of £79 per-year will apply. Your domain name renewal will be charged accordingly at a rate of £12 for a .co.uk for 2 years, with all other domain names at a rate of £35 per-year. All fees are payable in advance.

Hosting after the first year is charged quarterly in advance by direct debit. Ceasing the direct debit or failure to honour the payment will be treated as a cancellation, and will result in immediate termination of your Sitevert contract.

Note that search engine optimisation for your site will NOT continue after the first year unless requested, and will be charged as a yearly fee.

What if I want more than three pages, or if I want my site to do other things?

All in the realms of the possible. We can do just about anything you like. But that then takes you over to our bespoke web design service, which is priced according to your requirements. Sitevert sites are designed to be simple, quick and great value.

What about if I want to keep the website, but move away from Sitevert hosting?

We understand that everyone is free to change their minds. We can bundle up your Sitevert site for you and supply it on CD for you to move to another hosting company for a small charge.

However, the design and copyright of the Sitevert site remains the property of Pixelmakers Limited until your account is settled. We take it quite seriously when someone uses our artwork without permission!

So, for that sort of price, there must be some catch?

None at all. The intention is to give our clients the opportunity to get a foot on the internet ladder at a low cost.

All we do is add our small logo and payoff at the bottom of your page, quite discretely, to let the world know we exist!
